A Peacock Named Monique
Interior Designer Lori Miller showcased her creative flair at the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House Spring Gala, one of NYC’s most anticipated fundraising events. The Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, founded in 1894, is one of the nation's first settlement houses, serving people in need on Manhattan's East Side and Roosevelt Island. For the gala's "Flights of Fancy" theme, LGC Interiors created a breathtaking tablescape centered around "A Peacock Named Monique." This stunning centerpiece, a 6-foot peacock, wore a hand-beaded royal blue gown with a hand-carved wooden beak and a tail of woven orchids, captivating attendees as the belle of the ball.
The table was a masterpiece of understated elegance, featuring a woven tablecloth in spun gold and blue, complemented by gold plates and ruby-red glassware. Working in collaboration with Angel Salazar Designs for the florals, Lori's vision came to life in a symphony of colors and textures. Each guest received a special memento - a white chocolate-covered Oreo bearing an inscribed peacock design and the event date. "Participating in the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House Spring Gala is always a joy," Lori remarked. "The opportunity to blend creativity with philanthropy, supporting such a vital community organization, is truly rewarding. Our 'Flights of Fancy' themed tablescape brought a touch of whimsy and elegance to this important cause."
