As a licensed mental health therapist and interior designer, I've dedicated my career to understanding and harnessing this connection to create spaces that nurture body and mind.

As interior designers, we're all too familiar with the challenges of client communication and closing deals. But what if I told you that understanding the human mind is the key to overcoming these hurdles? As both a licensed psychologist and Interior Designer, I've discovered that blending these two fields can transform not just spaces, but also your business approach and bottom line.

As an interior designer, I've had the privilege of creating countless spaces that bring joy and comfort to my clients. One project that always excites me is designing home theaters. The transformation of an ordinary room into a cinematic haven is truly magical. Today, I want to share insights and tips from my experience, particularly drawing upon inspiration from the Bella Vista Teatro project at the Holiday House Hamptons, to help you envision and create your own luxury home theater.

As I reflect on my recent experience creating Bella Vista Teatro at the Holiday House Hamptons 2024 Designer Showhouse, I'm reminded of the incredible journey that led me to where I am today. My path to interior design wasn't a straight line – it was a winding road that took me through the halls of Rikers Island, community centers, and HIV counseling before I found my calling in interior design. It's these diverse experiences that have shaped my unique approach to helping people, whether through counseling or creating beautiful spaces. 

As an interior designer, I'm thrilled to share my experience designing a room for the Holiday House Hamptons 2024 Designer Showhouse alongside the incredible Andrea Stark. This project has been an amazing journey, blending creativity, luxury, and purpose in a way that truly embodies the spirit of the Hamptons and the important cause it supports.
